My Mission

First and foremost, I want thank my family, friends and teachers who have supported me throughout my endeavors and who have inspired me to never give up!

As a yoga teacher and a resident of the Uniontown area, I am committed to promoting healthy living. Through yoga and my experiences, I wish to share the importance and health benefits of daily yoga practice with you. My motivation to open a yoga studio in Uniontown is to bring culture and a sense of community to our area. A yoga studio is not just a place to stretch, exercise, or meditate. It is a place to share, enjoy, and most of all, BE YOU!

I am also committed to improving our environment. Therefore, The Yoga Attic offers eco-friendly products. By purchasing organic products, you are supporting sustainable and organic agriculture in the local community as well as supporting the larger community of which we are all a part. These products are made from renewable energy sources, natural products free from pesticides and harsh chemicals, recycled material, and sweatshop free production. Together, we can create a better future and a sustainable economy if we live in a world with breathable air, clean water and healthy people.

"You must be the change that you wish to see in the world" (Ghandi)

"Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they're meant to be." (anon.)

Namaste!

Donna has been practicing, studying, and growing through yoga for the past 10 years. Reaping the many benefits of yoga through her own practice, she wanted to share this gift with those around her. She began her yoga training with Yogafit, where she completed levels 1, 2 and 3. Desiring to deepen her training in the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga, she is currently working on her 200 hour teacher training through Third Street Yoga, based in Pittsburgh.

Donna believes that yoga is an individual journey of self-discovery and it is important for her as a teacher, to create a safe space in which students can connect to yoga in their own unique way. Her teaching emphasizes that what we practice on the mat will show up in the daily activities of our lives. For Donna, yoga has been a practice of connecting the mind, body and spirit and a way of cultivating loving kindness toward herself and others.
